Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village is located on Petchkasem Road, between Soi Hua Hin 38 and 40. It is near Klai Kung Vol Palace. When you come to Plearnwan, you will be reminded of the past, and the past will come alive. Enjoy food, shopping old school toys, sweets, tee shirts and mini fun fair entertainment in a exemplary old Thai 1950-70 atmosphere. Do avoid visiting in a sunny afternoon as there is no air conditioning. Beautiful lightings at Plearnwan stay with you at night. And I have also noticed that there are more locals than tourists at Plearnwan. It is famous among the Thai locals. What’s better, there is no entrance fees! If you are in love with Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village, you can even stay here. Plearnwan is also a boutique hotel with nostalgic design theme where you travel back to the olden Thai days.
Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village is also a good place for photographers. There are plenty of attraction spots at Plearnwan; the main entrance is one of the hot spots!
At the entrance, you’ll notice Plearnwan noodle soup located at the second level.
Not the amazing noodle soup but with a great view.
Walking further, there are shops selling such as old school ice sticks, candies, games and more!
Most of the shops have nostalgic layout and displays. Notice the sofa and cabinet!
There is also a mini fun fair entertainment in Plearn Wan. The games look good but sad to say that the toys are not attractive.
There are plenty of stalls and vendors selling foods. So, come on with an empty stomach. Do note that not all vendors come with English menu.
One of the famous food in Plearn Wan; Ka-Nom-Krok (Coconut pancake). Definitely spoilt for choices as there are more than 30 flavours to choose from!
My choices; chocolate chips, pandan custard and red beans. I would rank pandan custard first. It is less sweet and the pandan taste is toothsome!
The best way to beat the heat in a sunny afternoon is to get a hom-wan-loy-kaew (Fruit in syrup with ice). Choose 2 toppings and a flavour with traditional shave ice. Lastly, condense milk will be added.
If you have walked around Plearnwan, do check out the traditional lift where you can no longer see it elsewhere. It’s a big pity that the lift is not working anymore.
The gallery was not found!Other stalls and vendors at Plearnwan.
Plearnwan is a good destination for visitors who love to take photos and experience Thailand lifestyle in the olden days. It’s a quick journey as the place is quite small-scale. I took only half to an hour time exploring Plearnwan. And there are no attractions once you have stepped out of Plearnwan. It is quite an isolated place where you need a day driver or shuttle service from hotel.
