RATIO launched its first store at The Centrepoint mall in Singapore, within co-working space, JustCo.  Although tucked at the 5th floor of the mall, this cafe (by day, lounge by night) was bustling with activity when we visited on a weekday afternoon.

Meet the bartender – RATIO.  RATIO is capable of preparing close to 60 inimitable coffee and cocktail classics and unique offerings, from Nanyang Kopi to shots of liquid courage, and everything in between.  Bonus points for getting these drinks at pocket-friendly prices.

We tried the Tom Yum Martini – quirky as it might sound, it turned out to be a delightful drink with spicy, sweet, salty and bitter notes all at once.

Another drink that we were recommended was the banana latte.  Fans of banana milk and coffee, this is marriage of your favourites.  Huge on customisation, Ratio promises a full experience, down to the sleeves that you use for your takeaway cup.

Ratio also offers affordable bites to accompany your drinks.  Pictured above is the Egg Truffle Mayo Sandwich, going for a steal at S$3.90 and not compromising on flavour with the added truffle oil.

What stood out for us, and something we would be back for is the Chicken Lemak, Sambal in Cruffin (S$6.90).  It is a muffin-croissant hybrid stuffed with  fragrant chicken lemak ingredients.  Although the coconut rice that we are used to is absent, the components of this dish complemented one another and left us wanting for more. 

Apart from these savoury bites, we saw other sweet offerings like Apple Cinnamon and Banana Muffins as well as a Egg & Coconut Marmalade Toasted Muffin.  

Ratio is also running a promotion at the moment – S$1 for Nanyang Kopi (say what!), S$2 for Chang Beer and $3 for latte.  We would definitely be back to try the other drinks on the menu!
