The first main we had was the Penang Seafood Char Kway Teow.  Instead of the usual kway teow, Kelo replaced it with oat fibre konjac flat noodle.  The noodles are bouncier with a qq texture.  The yolk from the sunny-side up gave the wok-hei infused dish an extra creaminess; we recommend to add this!

The other main we tried was the Asian Braised Beef Brisket Oat Fibre Risotto.  Similar to the Char Kway Teow, the base used in this dish is not the usual risotto grain.  Instead, oat fibre konjac is used.  The beef brisket is flavourful and goes well with the earthy garden mushrooms, risotto that was cooked with parmesan cheese and drizzled with black truffle oil.

On the day we visited, Kelo allowed us to choose a couple of sticks from their dinner menu.  Simply select your protein (chicken, pork, prawn, fish, vegetables and more) and pair that with their in-house sauce.  We tried their egg plant paired with tangy thai and pork collar cube paired with spicy korean gochujang.

We also had their chicken leg cube and king oyster mushroom with yuzu teriyaki sauce.  Their skewers are all well-grilled and the variety of sauces of keto-friendly sauces will allow diners to mix and match to create different flavour profiles with the skewers.

We finished our meal with their waffles and their keto and vegan-friendly pistachio ice-cream.  The waffles and ice-cream are fragrant, the latter also having distinct pistachio bits, but we wished that the serving portion of the ice-cream was larger for a better waffle to ice-cream ratio.

Beyond the restaurant, we were told that Kelo also has ready-to-eat meal plans so those looking to have healthy dishes delivered to their doorstep can consider.  In the meantime, the place turns into a gastrobar in the evening with special promos on weekdays so do check them out!
