Media Tasting at Morton’s The Steakhouse
Apart from serving one of the best steaks in Singapore, Morton’s Singapore are showcasing a variety of good old American classics in their new Sunday Lunch Menu. With delectable new dishes such as Short Ribs Tacos and Beef Tenderloin Sandwich, Morton’s Singapore perfectly delivers the hearty taste of America.
Rosy-hued beef tenderloin strips layered with fresh crunchy vegetables encased in a buttery soft burger bun, every bite of their Beef Tenderloin Sandwich was moist and flavourful.

On the topic of burgers, their Grilled Chicken Sandwich is like the plain-Jane alternative to their Beef Tenderloin Sandwich. Grilled chicken is topped with a crispy bacon strip and sautéed onions. The result is a simple but satisfying burger.

While Morton’s specialises in steaks, their seafood are fresh and a great alternative for people who do not consume beef. Held by a skewer, fresh shrimp and scallop are grilled till tender. Sweet and succulent, the seafood duo -shrimp and scallops, was light and delicate.

If you are feeling extra hungry, opt for Morton’s 3-course Sunday Set Lunch from $98++ per person. You will get to pick an appetizer, entree and dessert. For the appetizer, you will get to choose from 9 different dishes including the classic Caesar salad, Baked Five Onion Soup, Morton’s Salad, Lobster Bisque (+$10) and many more.
I was not expecting much from the salad since Morton’s is famed for their steaks but not so much for vegetables. Surprisingly, all the salads we tried were very fresh and simply delicious.
We also tried the tasting portion of the soup which was presented in a small cup. Their Lobster Bisque was rich, velvety smooth, and was complemented with a huge chunk of sweet lobster claw meat. This creamy and decadent bisque makes a heavenly appetiser!
For entree, the options ranges from steaks, chicken, salmon to pasta. We had the Morton’s Signature Cut New York Strip and boy, that did not disappoint. Best served medium-rare, the steak was tender inside with a beautiful seared exterior. It was served American-style all right, with a huge portion that can feed 2 people.
One wouldn’t really associate desserts with Morton’s but their desserts are pretty decent. We had tasting portions of their New York Style Cheesecake and Double Chocolate Mousse. The crowd’s favourite was the cheesecake. Topped with torched caramelised sugar, the cheesecake was creamy and decadent, but not cloying sweet.
Morton’s might be well-known as a classic dinner destination with its amazing steaks and martinis. But its new Sunday lunch menu has proven it is equally capable of delivering the perfect weekend lunch with great food and dining experience, best shared among friends and families.
