To add to the good news, Lawry’s is offering a six-course set-dinner with a variety of excellent seafood dishes.
Without further ado, let us bring you through the courses that are sure to bring you through a gastronomic journey. Start off with the Octopus with White Truffle as an amuse bouche. The sliced octopus leg is served with white truffle oil and capsicum mayonnaise, drizzled with yakiniku sauce. The truffle taste was not overpowering and the octopus leg was not too chewy. Our only gripe was the slightly small portion.

The truffle burrata is served with vine cherry tomatoes and grilled vegetables with balsamic reduction, topped with extra olive oil and sea salt. Just look at how lucious the ooze of the burrata is – I cleaned up every single bit!

What is undeniably the star of the meal and arguably what most people would come to Lawry’s for: The Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef. This New Year’s Eve, you would be served 180g of the USDA prime rib of beef served with mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding and whipped cream horseradish. You can choose from a side of creamed corn, creamed spinach or buttered peas.
My pick is the creamed spinach – this is so good it can convert non-spinach lovers. The prime rib of beef is so tender and to top it off, the chef will come by your table with their iconic silver carts to carve the beef before your eyes – a treat for your senses indeed!

There is also a duck leg confit option featuring slow braised duck leg with herbs and raisin sauce.

The new year’s eve menu is going for S$178++ / S$198++ per person and is only available on 31 December 2020. Book early to secure a seat and what better occasion to treat yourself, hope you don’t make a missteak by missing out!
