Walk in, order, glove up and have a “hack” of a time indulging in yummy fresh seafood – that’s what HACK IT envisages in its pop-up located at The Riverwalk (20 Upper Circular Road #B1-48).  There are four curated speciality packs from $40 – ‘Xiao Long Xia’ ($40), Crab ($62), Lobster (462) and Deluxe Seafood ($100).  Diners can then select from a variety of sauces – creamy butter, chilli crab, black pepper, mala sauce (+$5.60) and nonya sauce.  We love the chilli crab and nonya sauces and these packs are extra flavourful as the seafood is wok-fried with the sauce.

Featured above is the Deluxe Seafood Pack in Chilli Crab Sauce ($100) – sweet tangy and spicy chilli sauce containing spices such as chilli, turmeric, lemongrass and candlenuts.  It is also less spicy compared to the nonya sauce.   Those who prefer to customise their own seafood packs can also do so as there is quite a huge selection of crustaceans for you to choose from.

All seafood packs are served with a side of staple:  penne pasta, instant noodles, garlic fried rice or steamed rice.  Our pick would be the garlic fried rice and the instant noodles – simply toss them in the sauce and you are good to go!  Alternatively, you can also order some deep fried mini man tou ($3.40 for 4) to mop up your favourite sauce.
