SE7ENTH-oakwood-premier-ricotta
Se7enth @ OUE Oakwood Premier AMTD presents a refreshed ala carte menu of East Meets West.  We managed to try several new mains and whilst there are hits and misses, it is an option for those looking for a place for intimate meetings or to impress.

We started off with these Honey Truffle Ricotta and Grilled Caramelized Bread.  Be warned that the spread can get rather addictive, despite it taking on a slightly sweeter profile due to the added honey.  Hints of truffle and the slight savouriness of the ricotta combine to form this smooth paste.  An improvement would probably be to serve the bread warm otherwise the accompanying bread just serves as a medium for you to have more spread.

The other starter that we had was their signature crispy chicken wings with truffle maple drizzle.  The flavour profile is slightly similar to the honey truffle ricotta spread so whilst a decent snack, we would not recommend getting both together.

My favourite main of the day has to be this Alaskan King Crab Seafood Platter with Truffle Risotto (S$42++).  Not only is it generously packed with seafood – think Alaskan king crab legs, mussels and prawns.

The next main that we tried was curry cod fish and chips (S$28++).  This is your quintessential fish and chips with an asian twist – batter has turmeric and curry spices.  Whilst innovative, we thought that the fish could be more heavily seasoned and the batter lighter.  Otherwise it is a generous slab of fish.

For the Mala Xiang Guo fans, you can find the chef’s take on the local favourite here. Those looking for anything more than 小辣 (mild spicy) might want to indicate when ordering as this dish is mildly spiced.  The ingredients are aplenty and you can expect king prawns, scallops, mussels, squid, quail eggs, luncheon meat and noodles.  Complimentary bowl of rice is also available upon request!
SE7ENTH-oakwood-premier-wagyu-katsu-sandwich
The last dish we tried was the Wagyu Katsu Sandwich (S$35++).  Breaded wagyu stripling steak served medium sandwiched between grilled brioche and served with homemade pickled vegetables and sour cream chips.

Budget: S$25 to S$40 per pax
