Highlights of Michelin Guide Singapore 2018
- Five restaurants including Burnt Ends, Nouri, Sushi Kimura, Ma Cuisine and Jiang-Nan Chun received their first Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2018
- There are no restaurants celebrated with three stars this year, Joël Robuchon Restaurant (CLOSED) has marked the history of attaining 3 Michelin-Starred Restaurants in Michelin Guide Singapore 2017 and 2016.
- Restaurants with two stars in MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2017 has kept their accolades.
- Of the 50 eatery listed in BIB GOURMAND 2018, there are 28 hawker stalls, with new entrants of 17 new stalls including Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee at Hong Lim Market and Food Centre, Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puff at Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre, and Chuan Kee Boneless Braised Duck at Ghim Moh Market & Food Centre.
- 5 stalls have been dropped from BIB GOURMAND 2017.

It was noted that anonymous Michelin inspectors have circumvented the island rating local establishments based on five criteria: Quality of ingredients used, mastery of cooking techniques and flavours, a projection of the chef’s personality in his or her cuisine, value for money, and consistency – both over time and across the entire menu.
