Easties, you’re in for a treat! Hailing from Japan, Yakiniku Like, specialises in yakiniku fast food with 30 outlets in Asia including Taipei, Indonesia and Singapore. You’ll be impressed with their quick service concept that serves orders within three minutes. WHAT?! Seriously, I don’t believe and did my countdown. Yakiniku Like did not disappoint me. Not to fret of the BBQ smell trapped in your clothes and hair at Yakiniku Like. Yakiniku Like, being the first restaurant to introduce individual electric smokeless grills, specially customised for the Singapore outlet. What’s even better? Everything is nett priced, there is no GST nor service charge at Yakiniku Like. Each diner has their own utensils, wet and dry tissues in the shelve. Well, there’s one bad point, you got to order by yourself using the QR code with your mobile device.

The premium Australian Wagyu beef steak is simply an indulgence! Think of grain-fed wagyu with a marbling score of seven to eight (Wagyu Grade A4 & above). The premium wagyu is not only remarkably marbled, but it is also packed with a distinctive umami flavour and delicate tenderness.

Besides the premium wagyu set, there are also set menu serving different beef parts including karubi, harami, prime karubi and misuji. Spoilt for choices as we spot Yakiniku Like‘s Signature Like Set serving beef tongue, skirt steak and beef short plate, Karubi and Harami set being the best seller in Japan, the unbeatable price pork & chicken set and many more! Each set meal is priced starting from S$7.80, accompanied with a bowl of rice, soup and a choice of kimchi or salad.

Everyone will have their personal taste, glad that there are eight sauces for us to choose from! I’ve enjoyed garlic soy sauce the best, it gave an full-bodied flavour to the meat. While the garlic chilli sauce (exclusive to Singapore) adds a familiar local taste (“chicken rice chilli sauce”).
