Media Tasting at IHG
As we slowly approach the end of the year, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has kindly invited us to an evening of joyful celebrations and feasting ahead of the festivities. Celebrating the season of sharing, guests were treated to a wide spread of festive delights from the different hotels under IHG. They include Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Holiday Inn Singapore, Hotel Indigo Singapore and Intercontinental Singapore. Here is a peek at their upcoming festive menus:
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
Elevated with the delicate truffle, their new Black Truffle Roast Christmas Turkey (S$98+, 6kg) takes the classic Christmas dish to the next level. It is the perfect dish to bring to a party of 10 to 12 guest. Another favourite of the night is the Gammon Bone-in Ham (S$158+, 6kg). Glazed with a sweet and tangy homemade sauce and baked to perfection, the skin is crisp and the meat is tender and juicy.

Merry Berry Cheese-mas Yule Log Cake
For desserts, do not miss their Merry Berry Cheese-mas Yule Log Cake (S$68+) which features a moist Manjari chocolate sponge cake layered with luscious raspberry cream cheese frosting. The tanginess of the frosting was a nice complement to the sweet chocolate sponge.
Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium
This Christmas, savour asian-inspired festive delights by Chef Chua Yew Hock at the Atrium Restaurant’s buffet line; the Sa Cha infused Meatloaf and Salt Baked Laksa Turkey. A unique Singaporean twist to the traditional Christmas dish, the Salt Baked Laksa Turkey is rubbed with the signature laksa paste, and slow-cooked within a salt baked crust. Cracking open the crust unveils a tender turkey bursting with exotic flavours.
Do note that these two Asian-inspired festive dish will only be available at the buffet on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Fret not, you can order them for takeaways to your parties as well.
Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre
If you are looking for something unconventional this festive season, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is your best bet. Different from your usual Christmas dishes, Executive Chef Ivan Lim and his team present the Szechuan turkey and Tandoori turkey that is sure to spice up any party. Apart from the spicy mains, look out for their addictive Red Velvet White Chocolate Cookies that is coated in a shade of festive red.
Hotel Indigo Singapore

Crackling Pork Belly Pangang (S$78+)
Fans of Peranakan cuisine rejoice as Baba Chews presents a unique Peranakan-inspired festive dishes this Christmas. Doused in a creamy curry sauce, the tender Turkey Breast “Assam Curry” (S$78+) is bound to be a hit at your party. Next, enjoy other creative dishes which includes the Turkey Roulade “Lo Mai Kai” (S$58+), Crackling Pork Belly“Panggang” (S$78+) and USDA Prime Beef Short Ribs Rendang(S$168+, 2kg pre-cooked).
Sick and tired of your usual log cakes? Baba Chews’ Chendol Log Cake (S$63+, 1kg) is a creative adaption of the iconic traditional dessert – Chendol. A Gula Melaka mousse layered with red beans, pandan jelly, coconut cream and grated coconut; the cake is bound to make your Christmas a little sweeter.

Chocolate Sandwich Biscuit
Lauded by many at the dinner, the Roasted Kurobuta Bara from Kagoshima, Japan, has captured the hearts of the guests that evening. Encompassing the cheerful Christmas spirit, their Chocolate Sandwich Biscuit is a treat to our visual and sweet-tooth. Enjoy a selection of festive flavours which include raspberry gingerbread, pistachio amaretto cherry, mont blanc and chocolate peppermint.
