Fu Zhou Poh Hwa Oyster Cake | Jalan Besar Rare Gem
Fuzhou Oyster Cake is a traditional Fuzhou snack. The filling is made from pork minced meat, oysters , shrimp, fried chinese parsley. And the flour is prepared using three sorts of flour and a slurry produced using mixed soya beans. This procedure produces a golden, bronze and crispy shell. Garnished with a few peanuts and silverfish before being dove into hot oil. Fuzhou oyster cake is a staple food in a traditional Fuzhou family. You don’t get to find traditional oyster cake in many hawker centres, food gem only at Jalan Besar. It is a 6 minutes walk from City Square Mall.
Each piece of oyster cake costs SGD1.80 or SGD2.30 with more ingredients.
It would be my all-time favourite oyster snack if it is less salty.
Fu Zhou Poh Hwa Oyster Cake is located in a corner at Jalan Basar. Be prepared to wait for about 15 minutes as each piece of oyster cake is freshly prepared and fried upon order.
