One of my favourite appetizers goes to Arancini balls. It comes in four pieces and each piece is generously stuffed with stretchy mozzarella cheese and brown Italian rice all rounded with a homemade sauce. The appetizer may seem to be basic but they are very filling and sumptuous. What I also like about this dish is that they are not oily at all. You can just keep on eating without feeling sinful.

The slow braised lamb offers a rich flavour while the herbs like rosemary, thyme, garlic and olives give it the garden aroma. The lamb ragu is very tender and rich in taste. Smooth and al dente fettuccini is a good counterbalance to the richness of the lamb ragu. That’s not all, the lamb ragu is topped with a poached egg.

Beautiful colours that you can find on Osso Bucco! The classic Italian veal shank is accompanied with saffron risotto and mixed green salad. At first glance, I thought the yellow side was scrambled egg (but I was mistaken, it’s saffron risotto). The veal has an intense flavour, hint of herbs, tender and almost melts in the mouth. As this is a halal restaurant, there is no alcohol presence in this dish. This main is in generous portion size and that’s enough to feed two adults.

Osso Bucco at S$34.95.

A sweet league of their homemade fudge brownie is served warm and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce drizzled all over. The chocolate sauce added an even sweeter tasting brownie. It’s overly sweet with minimum chocolate flavour.

Positano Signature Chocolate Fudge Brownie at S$9.95.

Dining at Positano Risto is very cozy and feeling welcome. Positano Risto is a must visit place if you are hungry and are looking for a moderately priced Italian restaurant. Great appetiser and mains in generous portion recommended for the 2-4 pax.
