Media Tasting at WAN Bar Kitchen

You might have thought that I had made a mistake by placing a picture of a carrot cake dish when I about to blog about Wan Bar + Kitchen?

Wan Bar + Kitchen and also nightclub is pretty much a 3-in-1 stop located at Suntec, for party goers and diners alike. More of a diner than a party goer, I definitely preferred the al fresco seatings available right outside and away from the party atmosphere where I could enjoy the food from Wan Kitchen. The dishes I tried were featured as both local and international fusion, catering to the modern taste buds.

A dish which uses large prawns that goes well with its mala sauce. Simply dip the toasted bread into the sauce that was bursting with flavor. Prepare for the spiciness and numbness that kicks in after that.

Almost similar to the shaker fries concept which most of us might be familiar with, the fried chicken skin was placed in a bag and shake with mala chilli powder/seaweed. An addictive snack to go with beer.

Beef Ngoh Hiang was another beer compatible dish which was fried till crispy. It was amazing how moist the minced beef were.

My favourite dish that night was the Lobster Carrot Cake. I would never expect such a delicious carrot cake with fluffy egg to be served from such a dining setting. Traces and bites of lobster meat could be found scattered throughout the carrot cake!

A cross between mantou and a donut, this supposed dessert has misled me thinking they were donuts because of its shape and sprinkled with icing sugar. The texture was rather dense like bread, served with 3 different sauces (rose, kaya and peanut butter).

They are currently still in the midst of tweaking certain items on its menu, including the popular series of alcoholic bubble tea served in cute balloon floats. Check them out if you happen to be in town and looking for a great place for alcohol and chill out.
