Media Tasting at Supergreek

Supergreek is a fast-casual eatery that aims to deliver wholesome qualities of vibrant and delicious Greek cuisine in Singapore. It offers a selection of thoughtfully-curated souvlaki grain bowls, pita wraps, and salads, specially designed for the modern palate and lifestyle.

Supergreek menu offerings also highlight Souvlaki (souv·la·ki·a) – the popular Greek street food of small pieces of meat or vegetables grilled on a skewer. Its modern spin on this Greek specialty consists of tender cuts of meat, fish and vegetarian options accentuated with herbs such as oregano and dill, as well as tomatoes, onions and Greek vinaigrette, then grilled, roasted, or steamed, but never fried.

All grain bowls, salads and toasty pita wraps are assembled à la minute for maximum freshness as well.

My favourite was the Roasted Vegan which only consists of 261.7 calories and it is 100% plant-based. The bowl had a delightful play of textures, from the quinoa, cured beetroot, purple and white cabbage, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, corn, cucumbers, onions and cherry tomatoes. The creamy house-made hummus and mango capsicum sauce was really delicious and the entire dish was pretty healthy and light-tasting.

The Roasted Vegan at S$7.90.

The Roasted Barramundi was another favourite of mine as this combo comprises dill-marinated Barramundi fillets, quinoa, mixed salad, arugula, mashed potato, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, onions, cherry tomatoes and Greek vinaigrette. The texture of the fish was excellent and not over seasoned.

This dish came with creamy homemade parmigiano sauce and crunchy walnuts to provide the final flourish.

Roasted Barramundi at S$12.90.

As mentioned, besides the souvlaki grain bowls, customers any of these combination within a traditional pita or a hearty salad.

Supergreek also offers freshly made greek yogurt, painstakingly triple-strained to remove the whey after fermentation. The process allows the yogurt not only tastes far creamier and richer, it also contains 100% more protein, and is less in sugar and carbohydrates compared to regular yoghurt.

For the avid gym junkie or anyone looking to increase their daily protein intake in a healthy, tasty and convenient format, try their Super Smoothies which is available in popular chocolate or mango flavors too.
