Media Tasting at Paradise Teochew at Vivocity
With the reopening of phrase 2, Paradise Group’s restaurants have started welcoming dine-in guests. Safe distancing measures have been put in place across all its restaurants and there are also promotions for both takeaway orders and dine in at 30% and 20% off their bills respectively!
Let’s take a look at some of the innovation dim sum available at Paradise Teochew!
The most popular dish and a favourite among us would definitely be the Steamed Black Truffle Char Siew Bun (3 pcs). The dull grey looking buns were so fluffy and the char siew had a pleasant truffle aroma. Love the combination.
The next unique dish was the Steamed Cheong Fun with Sesame Sauce. Although I was hoping to have more sweet sauce, I love the texture of the Cheong fun, rolled up into tight rolls like a Korean rice cake.
I am always a fan of egg tarts and Teochew Paradise’s egg tart got my approval. Its shell was so soft and flaky which nearly melted in my mouth, together with the egg custard.
As Dim Sums usually consist of prawn related dishes, the following 4 dishes consist of prawns. The deep-fried prawn with toast was fried till crispy and fragrant and a huge piece of prawn on top.
For those who would wish to try other innovative dim sum dishes instead of the usual plump har gao, go for their pan-fried siew mai with foie gras sauce or the steamed siew mai with braised quail’s egg.
