Just when we thought we didn’t need another excuse to head east, Cat & the Fiddle drops this. Their new concept store at Tampines 1 is now serving freshly baked Basque cheesecakes, and yes, they’re every bit as molten and indulgent as you’d hope. That perfectly imperfect, caramelised top. The warm, gooey centre that slowly melts once you cut in. It’s rich, comforting, and dangerously easy to keep eating straight from the box.What surprised us though is that it’s not just about dessert anymore. They’ve also launched a line up of Italian style sandwiches that are honestly solid hangout food. Think turkey ham, chicken ham, beef pastrami, and smoked salmon, stacked generously and priced between $12.90 to $15.90. Great for a proper bite before diving back into cheesecake, or for those days when you want something savoury with your sweet.The space feels like a casual stop you can drop by with friends, grab a sandwich, share a cheesecake, and just chill. East side finally has its molten cheesecake fix, and we’re not mad about it at all.
