Sin Heng Kee Porridge | Must Try Their Signature Porridge with Overloaded Ingredients

Comfort food like porridge shouldn’t be reserved for cold weather, emo days or stressed occasions. Nothing more comforting than having a good hot bowl of porridge, that’s what I feel. I was around Hougang heartland area and chanced upon this coffee shop with a huge crowd. I’m so curious to know what are they selling! There’s only one type of food available at Sin Heng Kee – PORRIDGE. With many ingredients to choose from including minced chicken, meatball, sliced pork, sliced fish, lean meat, pig’s liver, mixed pig’s organ and more! I’ve also attached Sin Heng Kee Porridge’s menu at the end of the post.

After waiting for about 15 minutes and my stomach started to growl. My boyfriend has decided to feed me with some century egg appetiser. I like how it is chilled. The century egg was decently soft and the sauce that comes along is AMAZING! It is savoury with a spicy kick due to the addition of chilli padi.

Sin Heng Kee’s Signature porridge comes with overloaded ingredients! You get a bit of everything like the meatball, sliced pork, pig’s intestines, sliced fish, cuttlefish slices, century egg and an egg, all well-hidden beneath the hot porridge. The ingredients are well-cooked, not rubbery with the right texture. What I love most is their thick, gooey yet smooth porridge, not that diluted porridge. Legit porridge! Thumbs up!!

If you’re a pork lover, you can go for pork porridge. The meat actually adds some natural sweetness to the porridge.
