Media Tasting at Si Chuan Dou Hua

With 4 outlets spanning across Singapore, Si Chuan Dou Hua is a fine dining Chinese restaurant renowned for the quality and authenticity of its Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine.

For the fourth consecutive year, Si Chuan Dou Hua’s culinary team at Parkroyal on Beachroad has brought back its ‘100 Sichuan Delights, 1 Gastronomic Feast’, revealing an impressive total of 102 dishes in 26 different flavours profile this time round.

With a list of over 100 items on its menu, first timers like myself would probably feel a little lost as my eyes kept darting across the menu offerings which would be served ala carte. I was quite thankful after realising that all the dishes were neatly categorized by flavor profiles such as ‘Chilli Oil’, ‘Chinese Rice Wine’, ‘Sichuan Minced Pepper’, ‘Ginger Sauce’, ‘Ma La’’ and more. This allows customers to pick dishes that caters to their spice preference as well as balancing the dishes they would like to order.

Starting off with a cup of Chinese tea from Tian Fu Tea Room, adjoined to the Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant, a first fully dedicated teahouse within a restaurant in Singapore. Find out more from them as they carry over 30 premium Chinese tea!

Steamed Pork Belly with Sichuan Bean Sprouts

It was obvious that trying out all 102 dishes at a go would be impossible for most of us. Nevertheless  I did enjoyed many of the dishes from meat to seafood to vegetables. You would be surprised that there were actually many dishes that were not ‘ma la’ or spicy and I starting off from the non spicy ones. Check out some of these dishes.
