Klang’s renewed Yeoh’s Bak Kut Teh collaborates with EN Group to open En Yeoh’s Bak Kut Teh, starting with its first outlet at Chinatown Point.  We heard that there are plans to open their second and third outlets at Vivocity and Suntec City in the next couple of months.

En Yeoh 1
Staying true to its original offerings of Herbal Soup Bak Kut Teh, the Signature 4 types Assorted Meats Claypot Bak Kut Teh ($18.90) features signature herbal broth with pork trotter, pork ribs, pork belly and prime cut pork collar with shiitake mushrooms, button mushrooms , tau pok and fried beancurd.  This soup is perfect for the rainy weather these days.
En Yeoh 2
A sweeter option is the Claypot Seafood Bak Kut Teh ($19.90) that uses the herbal broth to cook up red sea prawns, black cod and claims with shiitake mushrooms, button mushrooms, tofu puffs and Chinese wine.
En Yeoh 3
What results is a sweet-salty sauce that coats the ingredients and would pair well with the Scallion Rice ($2.90) that they serve.
En Yeoh 4
Other highlights from their menu include the Claypot Dry Pork Belly Bak Kut Teh ($12.90), a caramelised version of the pork belly sizzled in a reduced herbal sauce with okra and dried chilli.
En Yeoh 5
My pick for a carb would be their Somen.  The choice of having somen on the menu (instead of the usual mee sua) En Yeoh’s slight twist to things and to inject a little Japanese influence.  Soupy noodles are definitely high on my list of comfort food so I happily had two servings of somen.
En Yeoh 6
A side dish that you want to add to your meal would be the Bak Kut Teh Lava Egg ($2.90).  I can’t resist such lava eggs – just look at those runny centres!
En Yeoh 7
We had the Moutai Ice Cream ($6) which I thought was an interesting flavour of ice-cream.

En Yeoh’s is running a 50% promotion for a few of their dishes from 25 November to 6 December. From 25 – 29 November, the dishes on discount are the signature 4 types assorted meats claypot bak kut teh ($10.90) and dry pork belly bak kut teh ($12.90).  From 2 to 6 December, the braised pork belly ($8.90) and claypot dry lala bak kut teh ($13.50) will be on 50% off.
