Chinese new year is just around the corner but on a certain budget? Fret not, a buffet is always welcome with a variety of festive dishes as well as your favourite Japanese sashimi and desserts. The best thing is, there is always something for everyone.

Start the year of Earth pig with a prosperity buffet where you can expect an array of festive dishes, succulent roast delights, seafood on ice, drunken chicken, Japanese food as well as Peranakan delights. Start the meal with a bowl of Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Cordyceps Flower and Sliced Abalone or Mushroom Soup before moving to the main course. Here are a couple of dishes that you can expect from the buffet spread; Braised Dried Oyster with Black Moss in Tianjin Cabbage, Steamed Garoupa “Teochew Style”, Roast Chicken, Duck and Pork Belly, Ayam Buah Keluak, Nyonya Chap Chye, Babi Pongteh. End the meal with Peranakan treats and festive desserts such as Orange Pound Cake, Steamed Nian Gao with Grated Coconut, Nyonya Kueh, Kueh Dadar (coconut pancake) and not to miss the Signature Durian Pengat. You’ll also get a plate of salmon yu sheng on Lunar New Year eve, 4 February 2019.

Welcome the “Year of the Pig” with Chinese New Year festive dishes featuring Roasted Suckling Pig with Kumquat Compote and Braised Pig Ear Terrine. Hidden under the thin layer of suckling pig’s skin were a layer of thick fats and decently tender meat. As for braised pig ear terrine which is not commonly found in Singapore, the crunch of cartilage was jiggly and crunchy. You can also enjoy salted egg yolk crab and lobster in abalone sauce, abalone fried rice, dessert on the buffet line.
