Media Tasting at My Melody Cafe

Thinking of where to bring your kid this June holiday? My Melody, a friend of Hello Kitty, has landed in Singapore. She’ll be getting her own cafe in Suntec City Mall, complete with eye-pleasing dishes including pinky mains, kawaii desserts, and drinks. Enjoy having strawberry-themed treats in an indoor garden setting clad with kawaii pink photo spots. Pssst, it is located just beside Gudetama Cafe! Do visit soon as My Melody Cafe will only be around for a limited time until the end of this year only. Bring a smile to your kid at the lovely My Melody Cafe.

Princess Bunny is beautiful and kawaii in real! Not the standard Japanese curry rice where you can find in most of the Japanese cafe or restaurant.This first thing that comes to my mind, whether the pink coloured rice is using natural or artificial colouring. My Melody kawaii Japanese curry rice used beetroot infused Japanese rice with pink curry, served with chicken karaage, mashed potatoes, button mushrooms, carrots and brussels sprouts. I can eat with a peace of mind as beetroot is good for our body! The Japanese rice was fluffy and soft, chicken karaage with a nice batter was crispy on the outside alongside with juicy button mushrooms and vegetables. Whilst the Japanese curry was thick, flavourful and not so spicy. This is my favourite dish from My Melody Cafe.

Here’s another dish that we have tasted. Bulgogi beef in taco shell, on romaine lettuce and fresh mixed berries, served with tropical salsa. The bulgogi beef filling was very generous and flavours come through much stronger than I expected. The taco shell may leave your fingers oily if you’re eating using hands like me!

Love the plating on Play Time Fondue including a strawberry flavoured white chocolate dipping, marshmallows, vanilla sponge cake, strawberries, and butter cookies. The strawberry flavoured white chocolate taste and sweetness is similar to Yan Yan strawberry dipping. The vanilla sponge cake is also sweet. If you’re craving for something sweet or double sweet, this is for you. A little disappointed as the cute melody butter cookies seem to turn soggy and soft instead of crunchy.

Play Time Fondue at S$22.50++.

Here are some of the kawaii mains, desserts and drinks presented at the photo booth: Strawberry Surprise, Pancakes Bliss, Little Pink Riding Hood, Little Cutie! Strawberry Dream.

Did you notice the heart-shaped plating for some of the mains and desserts? Kawaii presentation leads to a more enjoyable meal, don’t you think so? Most of the dishes are served with strawberries. If you’re a fan of strawberries and My Melody, you shouldn’t miss My Melody Cafe!
