Media Tasting at Kumoya Cafe x Gudetama x Bad Badtz Maru

With love and much joy, Kumoya has finally reopened after Circuit Breaker with two of Sanrio’s beloved characters – Gudetama and Bad Badtz Maru. In a Singaporelah! themed cafe, spot Gudetama and Bad Badtz-maru gushing uniquely “Singlish” phrases like “mai kancheong”, “simi sia”, “die liao” and many more! Expect a series of kawaii food & drink designs by talented Shirley Wong, aka Little Miss Bento.

My nephew and niece were so excited over the food & drinks offered at Kumoya Cafe x Gudetama x Bad Badtz Maru. They can’t stop yearning for iced chocolate and chocolate ball of surprise.

This crowd-pleasing ice chocolate is a favourite among the kids. The edible Gudetama chocolate sank as you drink it! It would be better if the Gudetama chocolate is softer to bite.

Steady Steady Ice Chocolate at S$12.90.

Since the kids refused to share the ice chocolate with me, I’ve ordered mango frappe for myself. They’re not a fan of mango, so this is mine! The tropical mango frappe was absolutely refreshing and smooth in the hot weather.

Yah Lah! Mango Frappe at S$13.90.

Double the joy with mini teriyaki chicken katsu burgers! They’re easy to grab and so fun to eat! It is served with crispy curly fries, cheddar cheese, tomato slice and garden salad. There’s no reason for the kids to skip the cute salad.

Don’t Play Play Double Burger at S$26.90.

Oyasumi nasai (Good Night) as Bad Badtz Maru headed to the bed with the nua nua Gudetama blanket. Japanese Curry Seafood Rice is filled with Japanese charcoal rice, omelette, breaded calamari and scallop, tempura salmon, steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese and carrot stars.

Relax Lah! Japanese Curry Seafood Rice at S$28.90.

My niece wanted some noodles and I’ve ordered udon soup for her. While slurping the udon, don’t forget about the sides like tempura ebi, boiled egg, shredded carrots and chives, shimeji mushrooms and naruto kamaboko. Glad that the soup was light, not those salty base.

Let’s Nua Tempura Ebi Udon Soup at S$24.90.

The kids have been looking forward to this Lazy Chocolate Ball of Surprise. They had so much fun over this!

Literally using the metal hammer (provided) to knock open the chocolate ball. Revealing colourful marshmallow, cereal, brownie, kawaii cookie, strawberries, mango. Also served with double swirl Hokkaido soft serve.

Lazy Chocolate Ball of Surprise at S$24.90.

Charcoal waffles topped with kawaii butter cookies, double swirl Hokkaido soft serve, brownie, marshmallow, strawberry and mango. The butter cookie was good while the soft waffles get soggy too quickly. The soft serve is probably the culprit!

Charcoal Waffles with Attitude? Simi Sia? at S$23.90.
