At the central town of Singapore, lies Charlie Brown Cafe! This cafe serves food with looks that appeals to the little ones and serves taste to the older ones.
These beverages look too adorable to drink!
Iced Latte at S$5.50 and Mocha Frappe at S$6.00.
Sinful but so worth it. This ice-blended chocolate drink is perfect to suit the summer heat in Singapore. It is a suitable alternative for children and people who do not take caffeinated frappes.
Double Chocolate Frappe at S$7.00.
For those who prefer less milky drinks, you may opt for the fruity ice-cold slushies instead. I chose the Mango Tango slushie. Perfect for the ones with sweet tooth as the mango complements the apple puree very well.
Mango Tango at S$5.00.
This was a great appetiser to our meal. One of their signature dishes, 6 drumlets coated with their special homemade sauce. They were not spicy at all and the sweet and savoury sauce would be suitable for all taste buds!
Wild Drumlets at S$9.00.
The cafe really does serve food suitable for all, even for those who prefer having breakfast for lunch/dinner. The eggs were perfectly cooked on the ham, with runny egg yolks flowing out when knifed. It was served together with a salad which I loved as it had a light salad dressing which complemented the cheese and eggs!
Cheesy Baked Eggs at S$12.00.
This dish had a huge portion and may be suitable for sharing within family and friends. The aglio olio had the right amount of spices for me. But they were too spicy for some who do not take spice at all. However, the main part – cajun grilled ribeye steak was very flavourful and would be popular with most.
Grilled Ribeye Tagliata at S$24.00
The meal would not have been completed without this dessert. All lava cakes are only baked upon order, this way you can be sure that the cake is the freshest as it can be! The chocolate that escapes the cake mixes perfectly with vanilla ice cream. A delicious combination of a hot and cold dessert.
Chocolate Lava Cake at S$12.00.
The cafe provides all-day student deals (main and Iced Lemon Tea) for only S$6.90. While non-students can enjoy their lunch for S$8.80 if you order your dish from the ‘Delicious Affordable Lunch’ menu. Also, the cafe is halal-certified so remember to bring your Muslim friends to check it out!
