Cafe Quenino | True Standout For Me Was The Coconut Pandan Burnt Cheesecake
Had one of those meals at Café Quenino that makes you want to stay at the table just a little longer. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was an easy 10/10. Warm, stylish, intimate without trying too hard. It is perfect for date nights, catch ups, or just treating yourself to a really good meal. Service was also exceptional throughout, attentive and genuinely welcoming.Helmed by Chef de Cuisine Ma Yee Khang, the menu brings a modern take on “tze char comfort for today’s table”, with a fun sharing concept where diners can mix and match plates across the menu.We started with the Herbal Beef Ravioli, which was comforting and packed with flavour. The King Salmon Sashimi was fresh and clean, balancing some of the richer dishes nicely. The Barramundi Fillet was beautifully cooked with a delicate texture, while the Pineapple Assam Prawn delivered that satisfying sweet tangy punch that kept us going back for more. The most interesting dish of the night was definitely the Chicken Kapitan Curry Pot Pie. Rich curry filling tucked beneath a flaky golden crust sounds unconventional, but it somehow works so well. Comfort food with a creative twist. The stir-fried green beans, asparagus, and garlic sprouts with spicy sambal sauce was good too.But the true standout for me was the Coconut Pandan Burnt Cheesecake. Creamy, fragrant and packed with pandan flavour without being overpowering.A place I’d gladly return to just for the vibes, service, and that cheesecake alone.
