Media Tasting at No Signboard
The modern look and feel of No Signboard at Esplanade outlet has sharpened its food styling of Signature and classic dishes with a menu revamp. Under No Signboard Holdings are No Signboard Seafood, Little Sheep Hot Pot, Mom’s Touch Korean Chicken & Burger and beer brand Draft Denmark. What to expect under the new revamped menu? Incorporate Chinese cuisine with a mix of Western and Japanese influence dishes like Wagyu Beef Cube in Sichuan Style and more. And also popular dishes hailed from No Signboard Kitchen restaurant in Shanghai including Heirloom Beetroot Foie Gras and more.
Heirloom Beetroot Foie Gras has given a French flair to traditional Chinese cuisine. The beautiful plated savoury foie gras is coated with beetroot and had the creamy texture inside.
Heirloom Beetroot Foie Gras at S$28.
Wagyu Beef Cubes in Sichuan Style looks like spring is back with flora and greens. Firm and decently tender beef cubes in the wonders of sharp, pungent and spicy with a hint of sweet black bean paste.
Wagyu Beef Cubes in Sichuan Style at S$68.
The crowd-pleaser, grilled portobello mushroom is one of my favourite dishes. These giant portobello mushrooms turned out slightly smoky, super juicy, and charred. You can see this dish got wiped out very quickly.
Grilled Portobello Mushroom at S$32.
The live Sri Lankan chilli crab bathed in rich piquant chilli sauce, well-balanced and aromatic. The crab is so fresh that the meat doesn’t sticks to the shell. And the shell is full of juicy meat and I can easily pull out a solid piece of tender and sweet meat as a reward. I’ve never had a better macaroni dish soaked with chilli crab sauce. What’s even better? Scoop some crab roes along with macaroni, it’s so addictive!
Chilli Sri Lanka Crab with Macaroni starting from S$10 per 100g.
The bitter-sweet combination of coffee, hazelnut crumble makes these complex taste. A little disappointment as the meat was too tough to bite despite Kurobuta quality.
Expresso Kurobuta Pork Ribs with Hazelnut Crumble at S$15 per piece.
Appetising mango compote with a nice balance of sweet and sour and doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste.
Signature Fresh Mango Compote with Coconut Sago & Pomelo at S$10.
No Signboard at Esplanade outlet has lived to it’s name with a tantalising collection of dishes especially fresh seafood. My favourite dishes are Chilli Sri Lanka Crab with Macaroni, Heirloom Beetroot Foie Gras and Grilled Portobello Mushroom. However, service is lacking. I had informed one of the staffs that my friend will be late. Then, another staff tried to clear all the cutleries without asking. Afterwhich, hot dishes were served cold. Thankfully, there is another service crew who managed to salvage everything after all the hiccups.
