Media Tasting at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
The journey to the Changi Airport has brought many beautiful memories. The days spent at Changi Airport where we used to mug for endless projects, fighting against project deadlines. I love visiting Changi Airport, not only because of the famous Hello Kitty Cafe located at Changi Airport Arrival at Changi Terminal 3. Simply enjoy the cosy corner at Changi Airport, sits at the eastern end of Singapore. Having a cuppa coffee or tea with friends and family, makes a lovely day. Having high tea is amongst some of our favourite ways to rest and relax for that perfect afternoon indulgence. What interests me are the lovely mini treats on tiered trays. Don’t miss the cute little panda dessert; reminds us of Singapore’s Giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia. High tea at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport won’t rush you. The all-new high tea set menu features savoury and sweet canapés complemented with Dilmah Tea’s finest and most exclusive selection of the Dilmah t-Series. Each set serves two persons and is priced at S$48*, valid daily. Yes, you pay the same price on the weekends too! Pssss, it’s always fully booked on the weekends. So, make your reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.
Freshly prepared crepes suzette with mixed berries and brie cheese at the live station. This sweet and refreshing, cheese and fruit-topped complements the light flavour of the crepes. It is finished off with a sprinkle of snow powder.
You get two sets of everything. Don’t need to snatch alright! I’ll take back my words. Probably need to snatch for the crepes, cause it’s so good. One is not enough.
Here, we have the savoury bites; Croque monsieur holds a robust flavour profile that’s salty and satisfying. Salty and savoury appetizers, like this Tomato and prosciutto bruschetta combination paired well with the Dilmah Tea. The end result with the mini scotch eggs is a little disappointing as the yolk is not runny in the center.
Steamed chilli crabmeat bun was good with a crispy outer skin. Chilli crabmeat filling was savoury, not too spicy. Outstanding fresh mushroom flavour was perfectly set off by contrasting the crystal mushroom dumpling. And lastly, deep-fried yam dumping stuffed with roasted chicken. I like it how it bathes the meat in the flavour of the tasty yam, less the oiliness.
Pretty coffee art for your high tea?
This was one of my favourites, Strawberry and fresh vanilla custard tart. Sweet pastry filled with fragrant vanilla custard in pastry shells and topped with glossy strawberries. Spotted the edible gold garnished at the tip of the strawberry. Yummy it looks and it tastes divine!
Valrhona white chocolate mousse filled with wild berries coulis. And it makes delicate and creamy white chocolate mousse with a cute panda chocolate as part of the dessert.
