One-Ninety Four Seasons Hotel Festive Lunch
While we love dining indoors within the botanical-inspired modern Asian brasserie with a series of Provencal cuisine with an Asian twist. The spread of buffet dishes are impressive. Some of my favourites like black forest ham, scallop salad, burrata cheese, salmon and many more! Do note that dishes are on rotating basis on daily fresh produce offerings. Semi-buffet lunch at S$48. Order a entree with an additional S$10. The entree is such a steal! Get to choose from the festive spread like oven-roasted organic turkey with chestnut stuffing, ricotta tortellini with truffle mushroom sauce, crustacean-inspired like snapper bouillabaisse, grilled king prawns, saffron risotto, croquet madame, Asian delights like laksa, cantonese hor fun, and even western prime fillet.
Thoughtful menu with a list of dietary restrictions eg. Contains gluten, nuts, crustaceans, vegetarian.
Ricotta tortellini filled with pasta pillows filled with creamy cheese bursting and set on a bed of truffle mushroom sauce. A few slices of black truffles to finish off this delicious dish beautifully.
Being away from home has opened my appetite for local food and laksa caught my eye. The amazing broth of this laksa is packed with umami flavours alongside with ingredients like cockles, scallops, prawns and quail eggs. Not forgetting the spiciness of the chilli that tagged along a strong balacan flavour. Mix it into the laksa broth, making it more flavourful.
Too full after my main and I almost forgot there’s dessert! Christmas stollen, coconut yule log cake, macarons, kaya puff and many more!
After having Christmas Lunch, relax by catching the latest movie release at any nearby movie threatre. Or indulge in a shopping spree at Orchard Road in this festive spirit setting.
Lawry’s Christmas Eve Dinner
The meal started off with fresh baked assorted rolls and ocean gems fresh chilean scallops plated with a series of beautiful waves made from baby carrot puree, beetroot puree, green pea puree.
Rich and indulgent Boston lobster bisque with deep flavours and spotted real lobster claw. So good that I’ve finished till the last drop. Next up, trio of fusion dishes like pan-seared goose foie gras, baby octopus and even chicken gyoza!
We were given a strawberry sorbet before the main course with a choice of Signature Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with Turkey Combo or Broiled Atlantic Lobster Trio and Wild Salmon Roe or Grilled Kurobuta Pork Collar. It was a hard decision between the Signature roasted prime rib of beef and lobster trio. Roasted USDA prime rib of beef (100 grams) is succulent with superior taste and a perfect blushing pink through. This dish is accompanied with roasted sliced turkey, turkey ham, US Idaho mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, whipped cream horse radish and a choice of creamed corn, creamed spinach or buttered peas.
It’s hard to take my eyes off trio of broiled Atlantic lobsters and wild salmon roe served with US Idaho mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and drawn butter. The lobster tail comes with a natural saltiness and crustaceans sweetness. Drizzled a touch of sliced lemon and I’m satisfied without any sauce.
Choice of Sakura crémeux with mango-pear coulis and Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice cream or Glazed chocolate mousse praline dome with Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream. I would prefer the later. Rich with a nice Belgium chocolate mousse texture dome cake with crunchy praline core in rich and bittersweet chocolate mirror glaze and accompanied with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream.
